Reviews and Ratings
The hotel provides functional and nicely decorated rooms, but would benefit from a makeover to match newer properties in town. The design of the rooms may not be the most practical. The service was fast and friendly, although there was a minor delay in room service. The location offers easy access to shopping areas and dining options but might be uncomfortably hot. The facilities are adequate but could be improved.
The hotel offers generally very comfortable rooms with a king bed, though some renovation may be needed to match newer properties in town. The service is helpful and good-mannered, with a minor issue concerning booking information. The location is fantastic, being close to Jinbi Park and the main shopping area, with hot weather being a small drawback. The dining options cater to both Asian and Western tastes, albeit with somewhat limited choices. The facilities are satisfactory with slight room for improvement.
I was thrilled with my stay at the hotel! The enormous corner king suite I booked was not only big, clean, and comfortable but also a fantastic deal at just $24 US per night. The rooms were spacious, well laid out, and even had a regular bathroom and a powder room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting with any requests I had and even arranging a convenient and reasonably priced driver for my visit to the stone forest. The location was fantastic, being close to Jinbi Park and the main shopping area, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The dining experience was excellent, especially the full buffet catering to both Asian and Western palates. Overall, a great value for money experience!
Arriving at the hotel in Kunming at night, I found the rooms were very functional and nicely decorated. However, the room felt too hot, almost like a sauna, and the air conditioning didn't cool it enough. Overall, the room was reasonably clean and tidy.
The hotel had rooms that were characterless but free of any odors, yet we were pleased with our twin room. The service was highly professional with warm and kind staff, although we encountered a non-English speaking taxi driver. The location, despite giving the wrong first impression, was outstanding with easy access to Jinbi park and nearby dining options. The dining experience offered a mix of quick service and luxury but lacked proper heating. The facilities were decent, with a few minor hiccups.
The hotel's rooms were spacious and clean, albeit slightly dated. Unfortunately, they had a bad smell, were moldy, and not properly cleaned. The service was a mix of being ignored by some staff but fantastic smiles from others, especially the Concierge. The location was convenient but marred by noise and poor air conditioning. The dining options were average, with varying quality in different areas of the hotel. Overall, there were some positives but also significant drawbacks to consider.
The hotel's rooms, although generally comfortable, showed signs of being dated, and the persistent smoking smell was a drawback. The service, while efficient, seemed a bit inexperienced. On the upside, the location was convenient for exploring the shopping areas on foot. The dining experience was a mix, catering to various tastes but with occasional quality fluctuations.
The hotel rooms were nice but quite hot, feeling like a sauna, with minimal air conditioning impact. The pictures may have looked better than reality, but overall, it was not bad. The room was crowded with hundreds of people.
The hotel offers a modern and convenient stay with a great location downtown. The rooms are functional and nicely decorated, although some may face construction noise. The service is professional, but language barriers can be an issue. The location is ideal for exploring the city, but summer noise levels could affect sleep quality. The dining experience is varied, with occasional changes in food quality. The facilities are well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay.
I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the majority of the staff was warm and kind. The location was fantastic, close to Jinbi park and the main shopping area, with restaurants and bars nearby. The buffet dinner was fantastic with friendly and helpful staff. Overall, a good value for money option with a few minor drawbacks.
